Training Helper
Tim began his Schutzhund career initially to support his wife in her new passion, but soon found himself addicted. Tim titled his first SchH dog in 2004 and is currently working his home-bred male, Beowulf v Wildhaus SchH1 P1 PDOB1 T1 CGC TT, and female Denali v Wildhaus SchHA PD1 P1 PA T1 CGC TT, toward more SchH and SDA titles and also starting work with his young female puppy, Hannah v Wildhaus. Tim especially loves Helper work; watching dogs develop their physical and mental skills in protection, and helping handlers achieve their goals. He has enjoyed working many dogs of various breeds, from the club level up to international competitors, as well as several police K9s. His hard work and dedication to developing excellent skills as a Helper has been an integral part of many dog/handler teams obtaining their titles.

Lisa & Rick Hammond
Lisa became interested in Schutzhund in 2005 as a fun activity in which to participate with her young female German Shepherd, Cinder v Wildhaus. Lisa and Cinder were making fantastic progress in all phases until Cinder was killed in a tragic accident. Lisa loves training and spending time with her dogs and friends at the club so she has continued to participate and develop her training and handling skills and helped found LWDC in 2007. She has trained her Akita/GSD mix, Onyx, to a BH and trained and handled her retired SchH1 dog, Ira v Argatos, to a TR2, and is now working with her new puppy, Fyurie v Wildhaus BH CGC.
Rick began accompanying his wife, Lisa, to training essentially as a way to occupy his Saturdays enjoying the company of friends. He has since been bitten a bit by the training bug, and has taken the reins of GSD/Akita mix, Onyx BH, from his wife Lisa. Rick and Onnie have since earned their CGC, are having fun training and looking forward to seeing how far they can go in obedience titles.

Dan has shared his life with big dogs for over 30 years. His latest German Shepherd, Hugo Varg BH FO CGC TT, finds Dan with enough time to get involved in serious training and work toward getting titles. New to Schutzhund, they joined LWDC in 2008 and are simply enjoying the opportunity to have fun and be among others so inclined. Dan and Hugo have earned their BH, CGC and TT thus far and are continuing training toward additional titles. Dan is also supporting LWDC club members by learning to be a training helper.

Ron Wells
A dogsport rookie, though not new to GSDs, Ron first discovered Schutzhund in 2008 while shopping for his next GSD. After many visits to the club as a guest, he developed a very strong interest in SchH as a great way to build a strong bond and relationship with his dog. Ron and his new female GSD pup, Fehin v Wildhaus CGC, are looking forward to many years of fun together as they pursue their titles

. After September 11, 2001, Lisa developed a great respect for the GSD. Watching them work with their handlers was all it took to see the abilities of this breed. Some years later, Penni FO CGC, a black and tan GSD pup was in need of a home and found it with Lisa. After researching different avenues for building a closer bond and to have some fun with Penni she visited LWDC and that's all it took for the SchH bug to take over. Lisa joined LWDC in 2008 and she and Penni earned their SDA FO in 2009. Unfortunately Penni does not have the temperament for protection work, but she has afforded Lisa an excellent opportunity to develop training and handling skills in tracking and obedience to help Lisa prepare for working in all 3 phases with her new puppy, Hoax v Wildhaus "Tebow".

Amy Drennen
Amy and Indo vom Triton (aka Bison) joined in 2009. Amy has been interested in dog training since attending her first obedience class in 2001. With the realization that high energy Bison needed a job to do, she explored many options before visiting LWDC. Hooked after just a few visits, both dog and handler are enjoying spending time together and learning many new things.
Gary Huskey
LWDC's newest member, Gary has held an interest in pursing schutzhund for several years. After months of attending training without a dog, learning all he could in the process, he's now ready to hit the ground running with his new working line Bouvier pup, Kane, and we expect nothing but success in their future.
