Membership Information
Visitors are always welcome! We do ask that you call or email ahead of time to let us know you're coming.
Newcomers interested in applying for membership at LWDC are expected to attend training for several weeks in a row prior to being considered for membership. This is so that we may accurately assess the commitment of the individual, and so everyone can get to know each other a bit in order determine if the applicant and club will be good fits for one another.
If the applicant already has a dog, we will evaluate the dog for the drive and temperament appropriate for Schutzhund training, and if the dog proves suitable we will gladly allow the applicant to work his/her dog in all 3 phases during this introductory period before formal membership is offered.
Training Fees
$400 per year, paid quarterly ($100 per quarter).
One-time new member fee of $100 due upon acceptance of membership.
Members of other clubs are welcome to join us for guest training. There are no fees for occasional guest training. Just contact us ahead of time to make arrangements.
